JONAH'S EASTER INTERPRETATION

Jonah woke up early one morning and preceded to confiscate our Ipad.

I don't know about you, but for Jonah, the thing he wanted to do at 5 in the morning was make a video of the Easter story.

Without any help from us.

He found his own props and created his own sets.  His costume was a hooded bath towel to represent the robes worn in Biblical times.  He came up with his own lines.

He is a one-man-show.

Jonah's filming is out of focus and lots of jiggling around.  His words are hard to understand.  But we know what he is trying to say and portray.

So that is why instead of the actual video, we are including still shots from the video with some explanation:

His jackets on the floor are the coats that were thrown on the road for Palm Sunday.
His script during this part was "Hosanna!"

The stuffed animal horse was the donkey
that Jesus rode into Jerusalem.

Here Jonah says "Eat all" for the Last Supper scene.

This scene is Jesus being arrested in the garden.  Jonah indicated the purple stuffed animal elephant is Judas, AKA "the bad guy".

This is the crucifixion scene.
Jonah propped up a couch cushion and leaned against it to replicate Jesus hanging on the cross.

This last scene is the resurrection scene.
Our love seat cushion is the stone being rolled away.  Jonah's yells "Hallelujah!"

Please don't ever underestimate
the power of God's word.

And please don't underestimate a non-verbal child.
